Block Holic Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-11-03 (revised — advertising, remote settings, the optional "iCloud Save" and Android device backup added from update 1.0.1 · earlier: established 2026-10-19, "My Photo Style" added 2026-10-20)
BANDIBBUL (the "Company") operates the mobile game "Block Holic" (Korean title "브로콜리", the "Game"). We comply with the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea and other applicable laws, and we process only the minimum information needed. This policy explains what information the Game handles, and what it does not.
1. In one sentence
The Company does not collect your personal information. There is no sign-up, no log-in and no payment, and your progress and settings are stored on your device. On iPhone, if "iCloud Save" is on, they are also stored in your own iCloud account, and the Company can neither receive nor see them (see 4 below). To keep the Game free, it shows Google AdMob ads, and Google processes the device information needed for advertising (see 6 below). Ads are requested as non-personalized ads only.
2. Basic principles — offline, no sign-up
- The Game runs on your device. Board layouts, piece order and saved progress are all processed on the device, and you can enjoy the entire game without an internet connection.
- We do not require sign-up or log-in, and we never ask for your name, email, phone number or date of birth. The optional "iCloud Save" uses the Apple Game Center and iCloud accounts already signed in on your device, not an account with the Company (see 4 below).
- The Game sends none of your information to the Company's servers. There are no online features that go through the Company's servers, such as leaderboards, friends or account sync. When you are online, the Game only downloads stage settings and per-stage statistics (see 7 below).
3. Information we do not process
- Name, email, phone number, address, date of birth
- Location
- Contacts, video, audio
- Your photo library as a whole — only the single photo you choose yourself in "My Photo Style" is copied into the Game (see 4 and 5 below)
- Payment information (there are no paid items)
- The tracking advertising identifier on iOS (IDFA) — the Game does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission, so it cannot read it
- Crash reporting or behavioral analytics SDKs — not used
- Apple Game Center / Google Play Games account information — the Company does not receive it. "iCloud Save" (see 4 below) uses the Game Center sign-in on your device but sends no account name or identifier to the Company. Google Play Games is not used
4. Information stored only on your device
- Game progress (Gallery Mode progress, Classic best score, unlocked board styles), settings (sound effects, music, vibration, reduce motion, language, board style, whether the photo style is on) and the board state used to resume a game
- The one photo you choose in "My Photo Style": the photo you pick in the device's photo picker is cropped to a square, scaled down to fit the board and saved as a copy (without location or camera metadata) in the Game's folder. It is used only as the board background and block texture and is never sent to a server or another app. You can delete it at any time with "Remove Photo" in Settings, and choosing another photo overwrites the previous copy.
- This information is kept in your device's storage and is never sent to the Company's servers. It is deleted when you delete the app (except the copies kept by "iCloud Save" and "Android device backup" below).
- iCloud Save (optional, iPhone): when your device is signed in to Game Center and iCloud and "iCloud Save" is on in Settings, your game progress and some settings (sound effects, music, vibration, colorblind aid, reduce motion, language) are stored in your own iCloud account through Apple's Game Center saved games. This lets you continue after reinstalling the app or on another iPhone with the same Apple ID. On devices already signed in to Game Center it is on from the start, and you can turn it off in Settings at any time. Apple handles this storage, and the Company can neither receive nor see its contents. The photo for the photo style and the state of a game in progress are not uploaded. You can delete the progress stored in iCloud in your device's Settings app (Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage).
- Android device backup: when Google backup is on for your Android device, the operating system may keep the Game's folder (game progress, settings and the photo style copy) in your own Google account backup. This lets your progress come back when you set up a new device or reinstall the app. Google handles this backup, and the Company can neither receive nor see its contents. You can turn it off or delete it in the backup section of your device settings.
- The Game creates no identifier that distinguishes you from other players.
5. Device permissions and device settings
- The Game does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts or notification permissions.
- Photos: the Game does not request photo library access. "My Photo Style" uses the iOS photo picker (PHPicker) and the Android photo picker (Photo Picker), which are presented by the operating system and hand the Game only the single photo you choose. The Game cannot see or read any other photo in your library. On Android devices without the system photo picker, this feature is not shown.
- Vibration: can be turned off in Settings; nothing is stored or sent.
- Reduce motion: the Game reads your device's accessibility setting (Reduce Motion) only to tone down screen effects. The value is not stored or sent.
- Language: on first launch the Game reads your device language to choose the game language (Korean or English). The choice is stored on the device as a game setting only.
6. Advertising (Google AdMob) and payments
- The Game shows Google AdMob ads: an interstitial ad when a new stage starts, and a rewarded ad you choose yourself ("Watch an ad to continue") when you run out of space. There are no paid items.
- All ads are requested as non-personalized ads. We do not use ads based on your interests or your activity in other apps or websites, and we request ads with the child-directed (COPPA) and under-age-of-consent flags turned on.
- To show ads, count impressions and prevent invalid clicks, Google may process: device information such as device type, operating system and language; IP address (which may be used to estimate a coarse location); records of ads viewed and tapped in the app; and diagnostic information from the ad SDK. On Android, the advertising ID (AAID) may be included; you can reset or delete it in your device settings.
- Google receives and processes this information directly, without passing through the Company. The Company does not receive or store it.
- Recipient: Google LLC (USA) · Countries: the USA and other countries where Google operates · When and how: sent over the internet each time an ad is requested · Purpose: ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention · Retention: according to Google's policies (https://policies.google.com/privacy · https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads)
- If you do not want ads, you can turn off your device's internet connection. The whole Game works offline, and no ads are shown then.
7. Internet communication
- Advertising: as described in 6 above.
- Stage settings and statistics: when you are online, the Game downloads a stage difficulty settings file and per-stage clear-rate statistics from the Company's server (clayve.co.kr). These requests contain nothing that identifies you, and the Game does not send your game records or any device identifier. When offline, the Game uses the values built into it.
- Otherwise, if you open a link inside the Game (for example, the web page of this policy), your device's browser opens and the policies of that web page and browser apply from then on. Installation and updates through the App Store or Google Play are handled by Apple and Google under their own policies, and the Company receives none of that information.
8. Children's privacy
The Game is rated for everyone and asks no one for personal information. We do not collect personal information from children under 14 either. Ads are requested only as non-personalized ads with the child-directed flag turned on.
9. Your rights
- Everything the Game keeps is on your device and, if "iCloud Save" is on, in your own iCloud and, if device backup is on for Android, in your own Google account backup only. Deleting the app deletes everything on the device; progress stored in iCloud can be deleted in your device's Settings app (Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage), and an Android backup in the backup section of your device settings.
- Because the Company holds no information about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on request. You can manage the information Google processes for advertising in your Google account settings or your device's ad settings. If you have any questions, you can reach us at the contact below.
